Laughter is definitely a medicine and great for our well being. It is very contagious. Just watch somebody laugh for any length of time ans see if you can resist joining in with at least a smile.
Laughter therapy is good for reducing stress. It can boost the immune system, protect your nervous system and enhance your lifespan. It reduces high levels of chronic stress and makes you feel good at the same time.
This kind of healing is holistic and wholesome and the only kind of side effect you are likely to exeprience is an aching gut from all the laughing!
Can we get more spontaneity, creativity, playfulness, fun and laughter in our lives?
Of course we can! There are many painless ways that bring out these little treasures.
One of the ways is to look at life with a positive attitude. It is up to us we can focus on the good or we can focus on the bad. If we keep a positive mental attitude it is one of the keys to the gates of success and happiness. The choice is yours. Having joy in someone’s heart and laughter on one’s lips shows that that the individual has a good grasp of life.
All of us have in us our inner child and for those of us who have been abused as a child, our inner child is very hurt, lonely and scared. Healng through laughter is the best way to reunite with the earlier wounded self, but to find your inner child you have to admit firstly that you do have one. You shouldn’t be ashamed of it. Its time to bring your inner child out again, as it has probably been hidden for a long time and may never have had a chance to grow.
Let your inner child tell you all the happy memories of when you were young. If you were abused in childhood and were prevented from having fun and laughter, you may find that your inner child is unhappy, feels unimportant and doesn’t feel any self worth. He or she wants to come out and play and wants to feel safe enough to do so and the benefits of laughter for our health and well-being generally are enormous.
Playing on purpose means being able to explore and discover things with the delight of doing them.
It means relaxing and being spontaneous and allowing your inner child to come out. Be playful since playing on purpose means going with the flow, with a playful attitude that is genuine, trusting and childlike. A playful heart has no room for stress and brightens up a dull atmosphere inside and out. Playing is something we did in our childhood, it engages us to have fun! Playfulness is something that we are all familiar with but find it hard to define. Maybe it is because of the way we grew up. Playing on purpose just takes a decision and then it happens spontaneously. Falling in love happens spontaneously and being happy does too, but we may need to point ourselves in that direction first.
Laughter therapy is a way of bringing sunshine back into your life with a great use of laughter. It can open your resistance and change sadness into joy. It is a gift that makes life worth living. The benefits of laughter are benefits of health, emotional well-being and connection with spirit. Isn’t it beautiful that we can’t always control what is going to happen? Just go along with it, trusting in the compassionate universe. Laughter and health go together naturally.
